Dover House
Dunsborough, Wadandi Boodja
Dover House is a bold yet refined fusion of Mediterranean warmth and Nordic restraint. Soaring gables, sweeping arches, and soft curves define its sculptural form, paired with a rich palette of rammed earth, travertine, oak, brass, and textured bag-rendered walls. Clad in Colorbond Dover White, the home is luminous and contemporary, softened by natural finishes.
Positioned on a vast block, the house sits along the southern boundary to capture uninterrupted northern views across the bushland reserve. Its U-shaped plan embraces a private courtyard at its heart, maximising sunlight and establishing seamless indoor outdoor connections.
Inside, the rammed earth blade wall anchors the entry and flows into the living areas, where double-height volumes and expansive glazing amplify space and transparency. Upstairs, the parents’ retreat opens to a sun-drenched terrace with treetop views, evoking a Mediterranean escape.
Every detail is crafted for longevity and beauty: travertine, a bespoke birch ply kitchen, brass fittings and warm oak finishes enrich the home throughout. Dover House balances drama and serenity, where sculptural form is complimented by enduring, carefully considered materials.
